I have two brass alloy ingots I would like to find out the history behind them. Could car exhaust fumes enter our house from outside?

Some idiot from Con Edison came out to our street yesterday because a wire is down and has been running his car for 7 straight hours now. He's not even the guy fixing the wire, he's just somebody that is standing by "securing the area" until the work crew gets here. He parked along the street right next to our house and I have been a little worried that maybe the fumes from the car could penetrate our house. I know that when we have lawn mowers come the odor definitely seeps in, and though I haven't smelled anything yet from this guy, I know that cars produce carbon monoxide, which is odorless. Are the fumes just blowing around outside, if this guy is really sitting in his own self-created pool of carbon monoxide would these even harm us inside? I pretty much just want to make sure that the environment is safe even for someone with asthma or pregnant. I know there is a lot of fumes in NYC, but never have I really heard of this, someone just mindlessly leaving their car on for an entire day while sitting in it.

Sixteen and feeling "different" from everyone my age?

honestly, we're in the same boat, or were. I'm a reader, pretty sure I'm addicted, in love with writing. I pour myself into my acting, don't really care for shopping or name brands. Anemia: do I need a medical bracelet for it?

I have anemia, and im 15. I recently found this out but im a vegetarian, which obviously explains my anemia, and i currently have a medical bracelet for a penecillin allergy. It didn't even occur to me that anemia should be on a medical bracelet, but should it? I have to take iron supplements every day: around 100mg (which is about 7x what 'normal' people have to take). Ha, went through the same thing with my old friends a while back...in a few months it won't be a big deal anymore. Do you live in the mountains? Cuz, if so, there must be trails around. GO HIKING! Hiking by yourself can actually be quite peaceful. You could start a channel on youtube and make funny videos or something. Are there any places in walking distance that you could try and get a job at? This may sound lame, but spend time with your fam. You're gonna miss them when you leave for college. Do get clothes for college, but not too many, because dorms are very small. You won't really have room for a ton of clothes anyway. Go swimming maybe. If there is anywhere to go near where you live, go fishing. Walk around town with a video camera, and film people doing weird stuff, or make a documentary of life with your family. You could make a funny short film reenacting the fight you had with your friends and then enter it into a short films contest or something. In college, there is a lot of partying. Idk if you are into that stuff, but just go to the parties. You don't have to drink, I guarantee you will not be the only one there not drinking, and even if you are, it's fun to watch people make fools of themselves. It is a good way to put yourself out there, and meet new people. Plus, most clubs have one night a week where they let 18 year olds and up in, I'm guessing your college friends will want to go. learn to dance if you don't already know how. There are videos on youtube you can watch that will teach you. But don't do that bump and grind stuff. I hope this was helpful!

Is this benefit boi-ing concealer fake?

I bought and received one this week too from ebay. I think it is a fake as it came with a bonus benefit concealer brush which is a completely different colour to the one on their website. I can't prove anything either but the quality of the concealer isn't as good as I thought it would be. The price I paid wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive either. As for the details on the back of mine it is the same as the post before mine. My daughter was weeding around our pool. There is a slope/bank around the pool, and when she pulled out a giant weed there was a flat surface. I do think that is was unprofessional for your professor to yell at you and she should have taken you aside privately to speak with you about what's going on in your labs. I was a biology major once upon a time but ended up dropping most of my science classes at some point, I just knew that it really wasn't for me. With the first incident with handling the gel she may have responded out of disbelief or fear. Such as when a parent sees their chid doing something that they shouldn't be doing like getting ready to touch some hot. Instincts may automatically kick in and you may yell to prevent that child from reacting. But I still think that your professor was wrong and that maybe you need to speak privately with her. Let's just say that a few weeks ago I found myself in a very deep meditative state. I felt myself slowly being separated from the room I was in. It was as if I had been a two-dimensional being all my life, and suddenly I had stepped off the screen into a more three-dimensional space. Maybe it would be better described as a fourth dimension? I don't know. The objects in the room were all the same, yet different. The way in which I became separated was very interesting to me. The room seemed to slightly pixelate in the process, as if it had not been "real" all along, as if it had been programed. As I was sinking deeper and deeper into the dark caverns of my consciousness, I found myself in an unexpected place. Although I could still see the room around me, I was looking at it through what I would describe as a spherical wall of screens. To help you imagine it, think of the way a bee or a fly might see the world through it's hundreds of eyes.I was standing (though not physically) in a dark center of space surrounded by these "screens", and I saw the room. I got the sense that this was the "control center" of my mind. Time had completely stopped. Time was irrelevant. A minute or an hour could have passed, and I would not be able to tell you which was true. I was in the midst of eternity. I felt something else was with me. It wasn't physical, but I could feel it's presence close to me. I want to say that it was separate from me, but I suddenly realized that I was it, and it it was me. I asked it to tell me why I was shown this place. It told me that sometimes it needed to remind itself where it had come from and what it's purpose on earth was. It told me it had left small clues in our world to help us remember where it came from and why. Suddenly I was thrown even deeper into space only to find myself (my consciousness) floating above an incredible sight.In the middle of dark space I witnessed something unexpected. I'm not quite sure how to even begin to describe it. I'm not sure words in the English language exist that would be adequate to describe what I saw. In fact while I was deep in it, I thought to myself "How the hell do I describe this when I'll want to explain to someone what I saw???" but I will try. I witnessed our universe being born and reborn over and over and over again at very high speeds. It wasn't like the "big bang", it was more like a loop that constantly turned inside out. It was like the shape of an inverse-rotating donut, or I suppose what some would describe as the symbol for "infinity". It was a giant, infinite fractal. This Universe was not what we believe it to be. It performed a function, and that function was to constantly generate new possibilities. Much like computers in our world (though extraordinarily/severely basic in comparison) the Universe was like a giant calculator/generator producing infinite possibilities through complex mathematical equations.There was a strong presence/consciousness hanging over it. This "calculator/computer" Universe was the creation of this consciousness, and it overlooked every single little action with incredible yet effortless and tireless concentration. I suppose that this presence is the thing to which many people refer to as "God". I felt a oneness with this being. I finally understood that I was it, it was me, it was you, it was the grass, it was the rock, it was the ant, the bird, the wind, the sky, the earth,.... it was everything. It was love, hate, anger, sadness, it was us. Imagine yourself being cut into a quadrillion pieces, and those individual pieces being able to have experiences of their own, separate from the whole. According to my vision that's what our world is. The world and all of us, we are IT. Since I realized what an important moment this was, I did not want to miss asking the big question. My question was "How did you come to be? Where did this start?" It replied in a form of exchanging a thought in my mind, and the answer was that it simply WAS. It just IS. It did not know why or how, in fact it did not care for why or how, it didn't feel the need to know why or how, it just WAS. Since we humans experience a "beginning" and an "end" on this earth via birth and death, it is very difficult for us to imagine something having no beginning and no end. It seems inconceivable, much like the idea of infinity, something without an end. We try to imagine it, but we struggle to come to terms with the fact that something may not have an end or a beginning. I can't say I felt satisfied by that answer for the reason I mentioned just now, but I accepted it. My next question was why we were here. Understanding came to me in the form of seeing. In a manner of speaking it split itself into an incomprehensible number of pieces in order to learn. It was like an enormous calculator

Is this lucid dreaming ?

I often go into a dream state then wake up but realise I'm not as I can't move, during this time I'm in my own surroundings but I can hear voices or music or see something odd in it. I always try to escape the dream by shaking my head and closing my eyes, even if I am paralysed. I always remember them very clearly. Here are some examples: I was in a normal dream in my school building, it was very foggy and at night time. I remember walking round a corner and thinking please dont let anyone be round that corner and then a giant ghost like man came stomping round the corner following me and I woke up. I was in my own surroundings and couldnt move, I then heard screaming and swearing at me, I tried shaking my head to get out of it and a few minutes later I woke up. A recent one I had was I was in my own surroundings again but I could see my mum standing and staring at me, it was slightly blurry and i couldn't see mum clearly. I even remember one when I was 5! I was in my own surroundings again and this lion toy on my floor grew bigger and turned alive, an Angel then turned it back to original state, I woke up and the lion toy was on the floor. Another one I had was I was in my own surroundings and I could hear creepy noises, I peeked from the covers and saw the grim reaper getting closer and closer as I looked, I then woke up. These are just some examples, I have had plenty more! Are these lucid dreams?

I went to the gym and put my iPod in my gym bag with a bottle of Gatorade and the Gatorade spilled in the bag. It was just a little, but my iPod got soaked. Reaccuring dream since i can remember?

Ever since I can remember ice had this dream. I always start on the top floor, everything a tan stucco feeling even inside. But no lights but one coming from underneath the basement door, and I always no better to to down there, but for some ****** reason I do. Down there its a giant maze, and I take loops and turns in every direction trying to find a way out before he finds me. And he always does. A big scary man like the guy from leatherface, chainsaw and all. I know your probably thinking I watched Texas chainsaw to much, but I had this dream before I even knew about the movie. Well anyways in the stucco walls there's hiding spots like little square mazes that I can fit through and everytime I all of a sudden come to a clip at the edge of the house standing on a little rail looking at the ocean waves violently thrashing into the mountain side. While I get bewildered for a moment here comes the man squeezing through the hole and I'm trying to dodge him but get pushed into the ocean. What's this mean

Just wondering. I'm only 17 but I'm a hUGE guy, bigger than most men. I'm 6'4 and 240 lbs I played football all my life as a lineman. In my economics class, my teacher was talking about push and pull factors. He talked about how people are fleeing out of Japan because of the recent disasters. He asked "What would cause the people of Japan to be pulled to America?" People mindlessly raised their hands and said "Freedom." That wasn't the answer he was looking for, but he didn't mind seeing why they said it, so he followed up asking "What kinds of freedoms?", and it was dead silent. Nobody knew how to back up the statement they had already made. It seems that Americans are programmed to believe that America has more freedoms than everyone else, and everyone in the world is just begging to come here. But maybe I'm wrong. So does America really have that many more freedoms than Japan? By the way, I am American.

What would be a good small pet for me?

I have had rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rats. I used to have a lot of rabbits but found homes for all except one because they are a lot of work, but I do love my little Holland Lop ''Bucky.'' He is the sweetest rabbit ever and he follows me round the yard and lies with me in the shade. I think me an him have the strongest bond out of all my pets. Since he isn't neutered (he is 5 years old now and I was worried he would be too old) he sometimes has his ''moments'' which is bothersome but understandable and I never get mad at him but my next rabbit I will get younger and have neutered. I have a guinea pig named Panda and I know they need company so I have been trying to find a single female guinea pig that I can adopt in Eugene, OR without much success. I love Panda and I like to hold her and give her veggies on my lap. I love her soft squeaks (and LOUD squeaks) and she is cute. However she will not get any exercise unless motivated by veggies, so I have to give her veggies to her by spreading them all over her giant pen so she has to run around and get them. So I love holding her and watching her but sometimes it is hard to tell if she enjoys being held and petted or not. I adopted 2 rats from my local humane society. I love them dearly, but they are females and pretty active. They aren't as interested as being rubbed/scratched or held as some of my other females have been. However they ares still cute and fun and they love coming up and getting treats during play time, I just wish they were a little more snuggly/affectionate. So after reading all that in the future what would be good pets for me? I like pets that are openly affectionate and show their love for you similar to a dog. I am thinking of only having 1 or 2 animals from now on so care/cleaning ect. doesn't seem like too much and so that I don't have to worry as much about a pet being too much work because I won't have so many. I was thinking maybe male rats? Any other suggestions are helpful and you can provide care information as well.

Well I feel first we need money to survive. i know a lot of people with money that are not happy but those are the ones that are selfish. the few I know with money want to share it with others there are happy.I think the society's mindset is greed but also I feel a lot of people do not want anything out of life anymore. Who really wants to work a 9-5 living paycheck to paycheck? If you ask me the executives that don't care at these corporations if they look down on me that's ok because i know I would be at a high position as well with hard work.I see people doing bad things for money and that's because we NEED it to survive in this world now the ones that over use it it's totally different.If I didn't have money right now i would be on the streets me and my son. So I have rather muscular thighs thanks to Softball and I have a friend whose thighs come nowhere near touching together and she always comments on how giant my thighs are and its hard to feel good around her. For an e-hero deck... i'd say a 6/10. I have a friend who's running e-heros like it's his job and since we're close, I know most of his strategy for his deck. with that said, I see a lot of potential wasted. For example, where's stratos? also, speed warrior doesn't really fit in. Your deck would also improve with a marunding captain lock. Why 3 mariners? I've never played a solid e-hero deck (don't take offense with this) with one in there. Absolute zero, shining PE, and a bunch more are much more solid choices for that 15 card limit. captain gold would be good 2. no neos either? that takes away a lot of fusion potential. I do think that is was unprofessional for your professor to yell at you and she should have taken you aside privately to speak with you about what's going on in your labs. I was a biology major once upon a time but ended up dropping most of my science classes at some point, I just knew that it really wasn't for me. With the first incident with handling the gel she may have responded out of disbelief or fear. Very large breed dogs?

Weird what do you think about this?

Let's just say that a few weeks ago I found myself in a very deep meditative state. I felt myself slowly being separated from the room I was in. It was as if I had been a two-dimensional being all my life, and suddenly I had stepped off the screen into a more three-dimensional space. Maybe it would be better described as a fourth dimension? I don't know. The objects in the room were all the same, yet different. The way in which I became separated was very interesting to me. The room seemed to slightly pixelate in the process, as if it had not been "real" all along, as if it had been programed. As I was sinking deeper and deeper into the dark caverns of my consciousness, I found myself in an unexpected place. Although I could still see the room around me, I was looking at it through what I would describe as a spherical wall of screens. To help you imagine it, think of the way a bee or a fly might see the world through it's hundreds of eyes.I was standing (though not physically) in a dark center of space surrounded by these "screens", and I saw the room. I got the sense that this was the "control center" of my mind. Time had completely stopped. Time was irrelevant. A minute or an hour could have passed, and I would not be able to tell you which was true. I was in the midst of eternity. I felt something else was with me. It wasn't physical, but I could feel it's presence close to me. I want to say that it was separate from me, but I suddenly realized that I was it, and it it was me. I asked it to tell me why I was shown this place. It told me that sometimes it needed to remind itself where it had come from and what it's purpose on earth was. It told me it had left small clues in our world to help us remember where it came from and why. Suddenly I was thrown even deeper into space only to find myself (my consciousness) floating above an incredible sight.In the middle of dark space I witnessed something unexpected. I'm not quite sure how to even begin to describe it. I'm not sure words in the English language exist that would be adequate to describe what I saw. In fact while I was deep in it, I thought to myself "How the hell do I describe this when I'll want to explain to someone what I saw???" but I will try. I witnessed our universe being born and reborn over and over and over again at very high speeds. It wasn't like the "big bang", it was more like a loop that constantly turned inside out. It was like the shape of an inverse-rotating donut, or I suppose what some would describe as the symbol for "infinity". It was a giant, infinite fractal. This Universe was not what we believe it to be. It performed a function, and that function was to constantly generate new possibilities. Much like computers in our world (though extraordinarily/severely basic in comparison) the Universe was like a giant calculator/generator producing infinite possibilities through complex mathematical equations.There was a strong presence/consciousness hanging over it. This "calculator/computer" Universe was the creation of this consciousness, and it overlooked every single little action with incredible yet effortless and tireless concentration. I suppose that this presence is the thing to which many people refer to as "God". I felt a oneness with this being. I finally understood that I was it, it was me, it was you, it was the grass, it was the rock, it was the ant, the bird, the wind, the sky, the earth,.... it was everything. It was love, hate, anger, sadness, it was us. Imagine yourself being cut into a quadrillion pieces, and those individual pieces being able to have experiences of their own, separate from the whole. According to my vision that's what our world is. The world and all of us, we are IT. Since I realized what an important moment this was, I did not want to miss asking the big question. My question was "How did you come to be? Where did this start?" It replied in a form of exchanging a thought in my mind, and the answer was that it simply WAS. It just IS. It did not know why or how, in fact it did not care for why or how, it didn't feel the need to know why or how, it just WAS. Since we humans experience a "beginning" and an "end" on this earth via birth and death, it is very difficult for us to imagine something having no beginning and no end. It seems inconceivable, much like the idea of infinity, something without an end. We try to imagine it, but we struggle to come to terms with the fact that something may not have an end or a beginning. I can't say I felt satisfied by that answer for the reason I mentioned just now, but I accepted it. My next question was why we were here. Understanding came to me in the form of seeing. In a manner of speaking it split itself into an incomprehensible number of pieces in order to learn. It was like an enormous calculator

Is there anyway to filter the water in a cylindrical fish-bowl?

I recently moved one of my bettas into a smaller set up for my studio desk. It's basically a giant glass jar that I bought at wall mart that holds roughly 2.5 gallons of water with 3 lucky bamboo stalks growing out of a gravel and sand bottom. I was wondering if there is just a way I can install a filtration system into this thing so I dont have to do water changes every other day.

I feel I suffer from similar afflictions. I get more irritated an aggressive though. What I do is have a place that is just for me to be quiet in. I have a small shop and in it I have my PC, drawing table, tools, TV, radio and any other things I like to have around in there. By scheduling time that I can pursue my interest without interruption, I have found that I handle life's B.S. much better. I guess I actually schedule time to be around people too. I like people, but do better with small doses of them. My girlfriend does not understand, but she allows this of me because she knows that I am a better, calmer person for it. I also wear small earplugs in loud situations. No one can see them and it cuts the really harsh sound down and allows me to hear conversation.

Just try to relax and be yourself. Find things that you enjoy doing and do them. Don't worry about what other people think or are doing. You are the one person that can bring enjoyment and satisfaction to your life. Try to cultivate a life full of things that you enjoy and when you do, you will find that friends will come into your life. It won't happen if you are trying to make it happen. Ok I'm a fifteen year old girl and I have been trying to slim down to 140, I weight 153 at the moment and I'm 5'11. I cannot seem to kill my hunger pangs and its starting to show, atleast to me. I don't know how to stop them. I start out my day healthy and lunch I'm good but when I get home from school I mindlessly snack and then I end up eating too much at dinner time. At your age, I felt similarly. And at 16 I started dating someone who was in his 20s, only my dad knew about it and supported the relationship with the condition that my then bf would respect me... (even now at 33, I still usually find older men more interesting.) Age differences as my first relationship are not abnormal in my cultures, as it is (legally) in the US, and other places where you would be a minor. I've never been a particularly confident person, but the lack of ..Is too much. I even get nervous around my parents.
