Which order of initials would be correct or best?

I bought my husband a watch that he really likes for our anniversary coming up. I would like to have our initials engraved on the back to add a romantic twist to it....Would his initials go first or would mine? I think it looks better with his first but since it is FROM me...Should mine go first?
